Just doing a quick search on Google for roofers can bring up thousands of results for even the smaller cities and towns. It seems a daunting task to do research on so many to be sure your roof is done right. Luckily these days there are plenty of third party sites that allow actual customers to post their experiences free from the biases of the companies so that consumers can get a real picture of how a company operates.
In addition to wealth of information on these sites, a lot of them give out Awards each year to the companies that perform best, consistently have great reviews and in some case are voted for as an award winner.
When researching your roofing contractor keep an eye out for these awards, they almost always indicate that the company you are considering has been thoroughly vetted and has achieved such a high customer satisfaction rate that these third party sites award them with the recognition they deserve.
Angie’s List Super Service Award:
The Super Service Award is the highest honor given annually to companies by Angie’s List, and it goes only to those who have achieved and maintained a superior service rating on Angie’s List throughout the past year. There is no fee to accept the award and be considered a winner.
Super Service Award winners are preferred among our members because less than 5% of companies on Angie’s List meet the eligibility requirements of a superior service rating. While the award is given out across the country, it is not currently available in every city. A city must reach a minimum size and maturity for consideration.
Atlanta Roofing Specialists has consistently held this award for several years with our most recent being 2012.
Ebsco Research/Home Reports Best Pick Award:
EBSCO Research LLC, formerly Probix LLC, is an independent research firm that has been conducting consumer satisfaction research since 1997. Through the thousands of telephone interviews we conduct every year, we track the performance of businesses in dozens of home service categories. We then showcase companies in our annual reports that have been identified as top-quality providers by homeowners and have elected to participate in our Best Pick program.

Kudzu helps consumers research and evaluate services and choose highly rated providers in their area. Kudzu.com features expert videos, business profiles, consumer reviews and 30,500 money-saving deals for homeowners in every major U.S. city.
Kudzu.com has an annual “Best of” event each year where consumers are asked to vote for the best services in the area’s they reside. Atlanta Roofing Specialists won this award for 2012.
These are just a few of the third party sites that give out awards and other certifications, if your roofing contractor has won one or more of these, you can trust that they are the best in their business.
