It’s A Nice Day! Get Out There & Get Some Stuff Done!

Ford JobIt’s a beautiful spring day! It’s not supposed to be, after all it is mid-January, but here it is. With the weekend projected to be warm and sunny in Metro Atlanta, it’s a great time to be outside! If you’re looking for a few projects to take advantage of the break in Winter, we have a few that won’t take much time or money!

Start with taking a stroll.

Walk around your home, looking closely at things like your driveway, walkway and your home itself. Look for signs of damage or wear and tear, and repair what you can.

Mending cracks and gaps in sidewalks and walkways with a patching compound made specifically for cement (available at home improvement stores) for example with not only stop them from cracking further but make the pathways safer and much nicer to look at!

With just a screwdriver and a few minutes, giving your front door a facelift with new, updated house numbers can give your entryway new life. With many designs and fonts available, this makes for a practical, attractive update that not only looks good, but readable numbers make delivery folks lives much easier!

Take a look at your home, itself. How does the paint/siding look? Paint and siding both protect your home’s very “bones” from the elements. If there are only a few spots here and there, it should be relatively easy to patch up. If it’s obvious you need a new paint job, don’t put it off too long, or like many other problems, it could end up costing you much more in the long run!

Finally, looking at your roof from the ground can give you quite of bit of information about the status of your roof. If you can see missing, curled or loose shingles from the ground or debris in the gutters, this could indicate larger problems. If you see anything amiss calling a roof contractor for  free estimate/inspection can go a log way at catching a problem early before it costs a fortune.

In the Atlanta area, Atlanta Roofing Specialists offers free estimates to homeowners. Call today at 770-419-2222 if you suspect you may have a problem with your roof!
