People have been doing amazing things to their roofs since roofs have existed. Some are designed to reflect a certain theme, some are designed for function and some are done just for the attention but they all have one thing in common, the look pretty awesome!

Taking green roofing to another level at the School of Art, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. This five-story facility occupies a wooded corner of the campus with an organic, vegetated form that blends landscape and structure, nature and high-tech and symbolizes the creativity it houses.
Home to a variety of buildings and spaces in the Shanghai suburb of Xingiao Town in China, architects have put a serious twist on roofing at the Songjiang Art Campus making it one of the more unique buildings in the world reflecting the artistic spirit of the school.
Having opened in Los Angeles in 2015, this museum is home to the 2,000 works of art. The roof includes five 190-foot steel girders weighing around 70 tons each. The roof has a 40-foot cantilever over the third-floor gallery and also includes 318 skylight monitors with glazed openings to harvest diffused sunlight coming from the north.
Part lab, part park, this roof outside Paris, is an amazing 650-foot-long undulating roof top spanning nearly seven hectares and offering great panoramic views from it’s lush roof terrace. Beneath there is a library, an auditorium, a restaurant, sports rooms, laboratories and meeting rooms among its airy brilliant patios that contribute to the well being of both, users and the environment.
